In this short pop-classical musical, two Medieval nuns form a reluctant alliance over their shared purpose to conceive a child without the interference of men. In clandestine pursuit of their sacreligious goal, the Sisters do what no nuns have dared: they create an alchemical homunculus to be their baby! When their creation emerges fully-grown, with the mind of a rapidly aging infant, both nuns and homunculus must grapple with what it means to be human, and to be a family.
